We are the Western Reserve Amateur Radio Association, INC. We are from the small town of Newton Falls in North East Ohio. Our club was established on August 1, 1997.

We meet on the third Sunday of every month (unless it conflicts with a national holiday) at 4:00 PM at the Community Center in Newton Falls, Ohio.
We also have informal get-togethers every Thursday night at 8:00 PM at the local Arby's.

We are a registered non-profit with the state of Ohio.

We run a repeater that is located in Middlefield, Ohio. The TX frequency is 442.250 MHz and the RX frequency is 447.250 MHz. The call sign of the repeater is KC8IBR.

Our purpose:
  1. To educate, facilitate, and promote the use of radio and other communications in the event of emergencies and other natural disasters.

  2. To provide timely and accurate weather reports for the National Weather Service and Safety Services.

  3. To provide communications for, NOT FOR PROFIT. Community and government organizations.

  4. To promote the exchange of information, individual operating efficiency, fraternalism and general co-operation between members; and

  5. To conduct activities and programs to educate the general public and to continue general interest and welfare of the members.
